Protex (IRE)
Formed in Belfast in 1978, Protex were one of the pioneers of the Belfast Punk Movement. They were soon signed to the famous Good Vibrations label; their debut release receiving great reviews and enjoying widespread airplay on the UK’s national Radio 1 station. They quickly came to the attention of Rough Trade Records who released Don’t Ring Me Up to wide acclaim.

Germany’s suave rock’n’roll true-believers SLANDER TONGUE are an international beat sensation! Released on Slovenly Recordings Slander Tongue got alot going for them. Think of Johnny Thunders sharing a ride with Fred “Sonic” Smith, while Ian Hunter and Chris Bailey are drunk in the backseat howling along to a beat up tape of “Goat’s Head Soup.” Birthed at a sonic orgy in the V.I.P. closet at Berlin’s famed Wowsville haunt.
