V11 x Rotown presents: dust

dust forge their industrial “city sound” from the steel of their hometown, Newcastle. Their refreshing take on Australian and British post-punk is at once progressive, immersive, and irresistibly visceral. Drawing as much inspiration from kindred post-punk acts as from the fragmented, free-flowing structures of artists like Yung Lean and Burial, the band seamlessly weaves experimental jazz and electronic textures into sharp-edged, raw post-punk energy.

Their debut album Sky is Falling arrived in autumn 2025, following their acclaimed 2023 EP et cetera, etc. Since then, dust have toured extensively across Australia, the UK, and the United States, supporting heavyweights such as Slowdive, Interpol, and Bloc Party. They’ve also graced the stages of prestigious festivals including SXSW Austin, The Great Escape, Pitchfork Music Festival, and London Calling.
