St. Solaire will present their new EP, Keep On Waiting!
On march 16th the Rotterdam based indiepop band St. Solaire will present their new EP in V11. The EP, Keep on Waiting, is a musical continuation of debut album you=me, which was released last year. The five songs were written in the period of having to cancel shows due to Covid measures, shortly after the release of their debut album. Even though the new EP hints to tracks from you=me, Keep on Waiting proves that St. Solaire is a band that’s not easily labeled. Merging their characteristic intimate indie with sizzling alternative pop once again, the Rotterdam band goes in many directions but always stay evincive and true. Go get your tickets and celebrate the release together with the band in V11!

About St. Solaire
Spellbinding and elegant, St. Solaire’s characteristic blend of soothing acoustics and ensnaring energy never fails to captivate an audience. Harnessing Geert van Emden’s compelling vocal qualities, the band showcases an expansive palette of rich harmonies and well-balanced percussive layers that can best be heard on their singles ‘Running’ and ‘Where Do We Go From Here’.

After winning the ‘Grote Prijs van Rotterdam’ in 2017, the band focused on writing new material. In 2021, they released their debut album ‘you=me’, an eclectic melting pot of influences by Radiohead, Bon Iver and zeroes’ Coldplay. Yet, above all, the album showcases the mature and authentic sound that St. Solaire managed to distil. In March 2023, the band will release a brand-new EP, merging their characteristic intimate indie with sizzling alternative pop once again.

Having proven themselves on stages like TivoliVredenburg and Paradiso Amsterdam, or at music festivals like Where the Wild Things Are and Motel Mozaïque, St. Solaire has made a name for themselves as a skilful and heart-warming live band. No wonder the band is counted among the major musical promises from the Netherlands. And whether you hear the band live or on record: St. Solaire always manages to fascinate and impress.

Jono McCleery
Since the first album Darkest Light in 2008 which was funded by fans including folk singer Vashti Bunyan, and radio DJ Tom Robinson, Jono McCleery released a string of albums via Ninja Tune Records and collaborated with fellow artists across the musical spectrum including Maribou state, Portico, and Maceo Plex. With the shake-up of the pandemic, the British-born / Rotterdam-based artist remained determined to stay active, signing to Warner Chappell publishing and delivering an EP of stripped back acoustic songs (To Keep a Memory) plus 2 further albums ‘Here I Am and There You Are’ & ‘Moonlit Parade’ with Berlin-based label 90 Days.
