The Tambles
After a successful tour in Spain and sold-out venues as support act for Supergrass, the world got shut down. The Tambles retreated to the old garage where they had spent ten years rehearsing. The four of them wrote their most versatile record ever, which was recorded and mixed by singer and guitarist Ruben Drenth. Scraping By has from the late ’60s, but the songs are fresh including riffs you certainly haven’t heard before. And speaking of diverse: the record shoots back and forth between country with a wink to hard, dragging psychedelic garage. Of course as a starting point: rock ’n roll.
