Sheila and the Kit

Sheila and The Kit played a smashing show in the V11 in 2020 just before the world closed. Their eighties-inspired earworms ensured that they became one of the great Popronde standouts; before the act even realized it, hundreds of thousands of streams had already been raked in.

Good news: after the pandemic, Sheila and The Kit still sounds as hyper-energetic and infectious as ever. On upcoming album Things Are Very Different Now – the name already gives a not so subtle hint – their eighties influences simmer a bit more into the background. In collaboration with PJ Coppejans (Eefje de Visser), Sheila and The Kit opted for less arrangement and more pulse and depth, with songs that fit perfectly in a sultry club atmosphere.

We’ve seen them in the clear daylight, but now Sheila and The Kit made a brand new soundtrack for the nightlife. Logical too, because we now can continue blasting away until the break of dawn.
