Newmoon

The Antwerp-based band Newmoon creates an immersive sound that sweeps listeners off their feet into a striking world that feels distant yet familiar at the same time. Blending airy vocals with lush guitars, they create an abrasive, dreamy and ethereal sound that blooms and is filled with haunting melodies. While their distinctive tunes lean very heavily to shoegaze, keen ears will also pick up on elements of dreampop and lo-fi indierock.

Newmoon will release their third record Temporary Light in early 2024, on which they grasp back to their original warm and fuzzy, big and dreamy sound. Although the band’s recordings are noteworthy, their live performances have become favorites within the Benelux shoegaze community and at festivals like Pukkelpop, Eurosonic, and Le Guess Who. Attendees can expect a wall of sound that is overwhelming but not deafening, and some fantastic tunes to vibe to.
