fantasy of a broken heart is an ode to wild meanderings and memories faded by time. The duo weaves intimate ambient fragments with bursts of lush orchestration—soaring drums and guitars clash with baroque modernity, all shaped by the surrealist vision of ’70s prog rock and the dreamy melancholy of late-’90s dreampop.

In early April 2025, they released their new EP Chaos Practitioner, a relatively quick follow-up to their debut album Feats of Engineering, which dropped in the fall of 2024. Bailey’s smoky baritone whispers, cries, and sings with conviction, while Al’s airy vocals twang, drift, and lift—intertwining like a conversation, sometimes clashing, sometimes merging into a single voice. Their music feels both epic and domestic: an emotional scrapbook filled with moments that happened—and moments that may never have really occurred.
