V11 x Rotown presents: Apeshit

Apeshit’s debut album is out, and we’re celebrating in V11! On Thursday, December 17, the Utrecht-based band makes its way to the red boat for a dose of punk, janglerock and indie rock, all mixed with a healthy dose of humour. While the themes may be a little more serious than what we’re used to from the band, the ethos remains the same: having fun is at the heart of everything Apeshit does.

Name: Apeshit

Extra info: Apeshit was formed during a music class in high school. Frontman Kees, bassist Nisse and guitarist Kaj were given the assignment of playing an existing song in a different genre, and decided to turn the Dutch national anthem into a punk song. During that same class, they came up with the idea of starting a punk band together.
