Belgian heavyweights RONKER distinguish themselves with their distinctive rawness in simplicity. With one foot deeply rooted in the guitar mayhem of the nineties and the other entwined in the reverb of the eighties, RONKER deliberately balances on the edge of extremes. Is it black, ominous, and gloomy post-punk for Nine Inch Nails fans, or is it indie metal? Who’s to say?!

In early April 2023, RONKER unveiled their debut EP, “Self Loathing Self Help.” This enigmatic, loud, and dynamic record boldly retains its rough edges. The sound, cutting on all sides, often leans towards heavy violence with a sparkling undertone. If one were to imagine a musical offspring of IDLES and Mayhem, it would undoubtedly be the distinctive sound of RONKER.
