Langkamer

After a successful show at the Rotterdam Left of the Dial festival in 2021 Langkamer is ready to return to the city. A certain free-spirited energy and humoristic approach is a central point in the band’s dynamics, which quite often flows through their music and lyrics as well.

Although the subjects the songs addresses are frequently highly personal or political, the atmosphere in it feels light and cheerful. Sometimes they can even taste a little sweet, with little choices and jingles. But looks can be deceiving, more often than once it results in a wonderful chaos of sounds and instruments, crashing down on the listener in the best way possible.

The variation in the repertoire of Langkamer is one of their greatest strengths. If they start playing the heartbreaking ‘Polly You Should See Me Now’ one is bound to feel a little wetness in the corner of their eyes. However, if they start playing ‘The Ugliest Man in Bristol’ like a pack of rabid dogs, the mosh pit never stays far behind.
