Croptop & Mamalarky
The V11 concert series which are open for all, free of charge Sounds from the Deck, presents you Croptop & Mamalarky, 23 july. Croptop starts at 15:00, Mamalarky at 16:00.
The Amsterdam three piece Croptop is inspired by a love of wiry garage punk bands like Useless Eaters, Total Control and Sauna Youth. They write their songs together and their different backgrounds end up in garage punk with plenty of melodies that stick in your head. With a new line up and new material they now return to V11 where they recorded their contribution to the compilation LP Calls from the Hull.
Mamalarky plays intertwined, chaotic and quirky indie-rock. Some parts of Mamalarky are strange, but they always feel really good. The band knows how to generate a symphonic ravel of drum computers, swelling synth-crescendoes, and multiple streamlined vocal layers, interlaced with laidback guitars and an arsenal of non-definable sounds. Mamalarky is the mad professor of synth-pop.
Come and enjoy Croptop & Mamalarky and everything V11 has to offer in open air on the deck of V11. There is no admission charge.
