Kossa Kossa is Rotterdam’s premier Afro jam, connecting the rhythmic and melodic ties between Africa and the African diaspora. Kossa Kossa is groovy, warm, and vibrant. We showcase the richness and depth of black music around the world. We mix live music and storytelling with electronic sounds to create an experience that celebrates our rich cultural connections. Join us on a journey through the sounds of the motherland and its diaspora.

For this edition, we have a special guest from Ghana: Josh Blakk! His velvety voice and unique sound, where Highlife and Soul merge, have already taken him on tour with PJ Morton. His album Catch 22, co-produced by GuiltyBeatz (known for Tems and Beyoncé), earned him the title Apple Music’s Up Next Star. Kossa Kossa will be his next conquest – and you can be there! Don’t snooze because once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Kossa Kossa is a harmonious fusion of a jam session and communal space. Musicians, music enthusiasts, and creative minds come together to experience, create, and celebrate Afro music. The event is organized and curated by Kay Slice, with the Kossa Kossa band, a culturally diverse mix of self-taught and trained musicians.

Expect a mix of new compositions, rediscovered classics, and spontaneous improvisations. We let go of the daily grind and recharge by being in the moment together.
