What the Job Involves<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

You<\/span> wi<\/span>ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations on board Vessel 11 during your shift, including managing the restaurant and bar, coordinating with private events, and overseeing <\/span>concerts<\/span>. You<\/span> wi<\/span>ll also take on broader responsibilities relating to human resources and staff scheduling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Floor Manager<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span>Leading, motivating, and managing a team to deliver excellent customer service.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Acting as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring their experience is seamless and enjoyable.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Identifying and resolving any operational issues during shifts in a calm and efficient manner.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Overseeing venue setup and closing procedures to maintain operational efficiency.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Managing staff to ensure that service runs smoothly within budgeted costs.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Handling cash register duties, including opening and closing the till, ensuring accurate cash flow, and processing payments during shifts.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Coordinating with kitchen, administration, and management teams to ensure a collaborative approach to service delivery.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and customer satisfaction at all times.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Actively contributing suggestions and improvements for the overall operation and atmosphere of the boat.<\/span><\/div>\n

HR & Staff Scheduling Responsibilities<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span>Creating and managing the weekly and monthly schedule for front-of-house staff.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Planning front of house staffing needs including building up the team for peak season<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Maintaining and updating employee <\/span>contracts, <\/span>records and files accurately.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Scheduling and conducting job review meetings<\/span>.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Managing holiday entitlement, sick leave records, and staff availability.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Supporting payroll preparation with accurate attendance and scheduling data.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Assisting in the advertising of job openings and updating job platforms.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Addressing employee inquiries and supporting staff well-being and engagement.<\/span><\/div>\n

Skills We\u2019re Looking For<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span>Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Proven leadership experience in the hospitality industry.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Excellent organisational and time management skills.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Ability to stay calm and solve problems efficiently under pressure.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>A proactive and independent work style.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span>Experience with scheduling tools or HR systems is a plus.<\/span><\/div>\n
