V11 x Rotown presents: The Buoys + Honey, I’m Home

The all-female indie rock band The Buoys from Sydney blends infectious melodies and sharp lyrics with gritty guitars and a driving rock sound. In doing so, they carve out a fresh, unique space where themes like insecurity, curiosity, disappointment, and determination collide. Their songs are as catchy as pure pop but infused with raw power and sincerity, carried by honest storytelling and purposeful, unfiltered instrumentation.

In just a few years, they released three EPs — including their breakthrough single Lie To Me Again, which landed at #85 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 — and extensively toured Australia, sharing stages with Arctic Monkeys, Wet Leg, The Dandy Warhols, IDLES, and Royal Blood. In July 2024, they finally released their long-awaited debut album, Lustre.
