V11 x Rotown presents: Rikas

Rikas is a four piece indie pop band from Germany, though their music sounds like it comes straight out of Southern California. Their fresh and sunny sound, with harmonies reminiscent of The Beach Boys, instantly puts you in a good mood.

The four childhood friends have been making music together since their teenage years. Their journey began in 2014, when they traveled across Europe with guitars and a snare drum, playing music on the streets. Without microphones, they learned to project their voices and get entire streets singing along. That experience shaped their signature harmonies and their close connection with the audience.

What started as street performances soon grew into more than 300 shows across Europe. Rikas has played major festivals like Fusion Festival and MS Dockville in Hamburg, and opened for artists such as Milky Chance, Alt J and Alice Phoebe Lou. Their lively shows, filled with as much laughter as music, have earned them a loyal following.
