V11 x Rotown presents: Gus Englehorn
Left of the Dial alumnus Gus Englehorn returns to Rotterdam and will perform on Thursday, April 2 at V11! Gus specializes in lo-fi psych-pop but likes to expand his sound with hints of ’50s classics, ’60s garage punk, ’70s glam, and ’80s indie. His latest album, The Hornbook, released in 2025, was mixed by none other than Paul Leary, guitarist of The Butthole Surfers, a band that has undoubtedly been a major influence on Gus Englehorn.
V11 can look forward to tracks from his upcoming album, The Broken Balladeer. Many big names have contributed to this album, including sound engineers Stuart Sullivan (Sublime, Meat Puppets), Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins), and Mark Kramer (Daniel Johnston, Ween, Galaxie 500), all of whom have left their mark on its sound.
