V11 x Bandgurl presents: 60’s night w/ Baba Pen & The Bim Bam Band + Samira + DJ Groovin’
On the 19th of November we invite you for a 60s themed night full of rock ‘n roll and psychedelic tunes
From the soulful rhythms of Motown to the revolutionary sounds of British rock and American psychedelia, the ‘60s shaped a cultural movement that still resonates today. And who better to bring that spirit to life than Baba Pen and the Bim Bam Band?
Baba Pen and the Bim Bam Band islike a mystical whirlwind performed with energy, authenticity, and a true love for the psychedelic era of the 60’s. Whether you’re here to dance, reminisce, or simply soak up the atmosphere, we’re thrilled to have you with us.
SAMIRA has recently taken the Dutch music scene by storm. With a raw and soulful blend of old-time garage, rock ‘n’ roll, and psychedelia, the band boasts not only a powerful, idiosyncratic sound but also a live reputation that pulsates with energy. With fierce eloquence, a powerful sound, and pure abandon, this four-piece plunges into the present. SAMIRA is growing by word of mouth from the underground scene where they first emerged last winter. Paradiso wrote: “SAMIRA embodies their music in every sound they make. Raw, direct, and imbued with urgency, the band shows what happens when you leave nothing behind and go for it completely.”
After and between the sets DJ Groovin’ will spin some groovy vinyls!
